Many years ago, I realized that people who reside on the Oregon coast are just… different. It’s a place of such striking natural beauty… and then there are the locals which consist of a curious blend of fisherman and carnival folk. I think many of them also lie slightly right of Hitler on the political spectrum.
My sister sent this wonderful photo to my phone which captures the spirit of the place.
Too bad I missed the annual Robinson beach trip. I could have used the vacation. On the bright side, at least I didn’t lose any money at the Indian casinos…

This rotation has been a great thing for my sanity, depite the insanity that patients display daily. I knocked down an impressive array of microbrews at the Brooklyn Brewery on friday, woke up saturday to play some Polish horseshoes (basically frisby with the rule that you must be holding a beer while playing), and then finished it off with some swimming and sunning out at Jones Beach in Long Island.
In other news, I’ve moved into a studio, so everyone back in Oregon should come and visit, as I have ample room for visitors.
