Milestones…

July 31, 2006 · 3 Comments

This neglected little cul-de-sac in the series of tubes that make up the internet just exceeded 1000 visitors. I believe that 99% of visits are from my mother. The other 1% are from google searches for “child skeleton”. Creepy, no?

In other news, I’m finished with OB/GYN. It was all-consuming, but a lot of fun. I caught a few babies, assisted on a bunch of surgeries, and saw more cases of trich than I ever desired.

This last weekend was my first one off in 6 weeks, and it was amazing. I feel like every waking second was taken advantage of and appreciated. I had good food and drinks with friends, wandered one of my favorite haunts, and sat in Union Square reading a great book.

Today it was back to work with my psych rotation. If nothing else, it’s an opportunity to meet some interesting people. Also, it should allow me a bit of freedom to enjoy these hot NYC summer nights with friends and some beer.

Happy 4th of July…

July 4, 2006 · 2 Comments

I’d much rather be back home, sitting on my parent’s front lawn and watching the butte burn down. It’s a killer annual show that kicks the shit out of the Macy’s fireworks show that is currently blasting away over the East River.

School is going well… OB/GYN is a weird mix of really happy (the births), and really sad (all the terrible things that can go wrong). I am having a really good time, but I am finding myself struggling to keep in touch with people. So, for the few who read this… it’s nothing personal.

Hope everyone is well, and don’t blow any body parts off with your taped up ground-bloom flowers.
